Classic sweet breakfast foods like pancakes, waffles, muffins, and cinnamon rolls are hard to resist in the morning, but eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to forgo a deliciously sweet meal in the morning. As the saying goes breakfast is the most important meal of the day, just remember that your breakfast could be sweet and full of healthy ingredients that will fill you up until lunchtime. Try something new, like adding additional healthy ingredients to your breakfast. Try putting quinoa or butternut squash into your pancake recipes to have a satisfyingly sweet breakfast without adding calories. Everyone has cravings for sweets, everyone has a sweet tooth especially the kids, and of course the kids at heart. Here are some sweet breakfasts you can try to satisfy and fill your energy up to lunchtime.


Archaeological evidence shows that pancakes were probably served in pre-historic society. No doubt, who would not love pancakes? Pancake is a universal dish famous all over the world. Pancake or hot cake, griddle cake, or flapjack. What else can you call this delicious meal? Pancake is an open recipe; you can add anything to this meal. Fruits, chocolates, sweet syrups, butter, and many more. Pancake is a flat cake often thin and round, it is made of starched-based batter that may contain milk, eggs, and butter and it is cooked on a flat surface like griddles or a frying pan. It has a wide variety in different countries all over the world. It is loved by children and who would not drool when you see a pancake with dripping maple syrup and a melting slice of butter on top of it?


It is a breakfast dish with a batter which you can cook between two metal plates, it started with a plain flat surface, but to bring characteristics and to make it unique, people make metal plates with patterns. It also has a wide variety based on the type of waffle iron and recipe used. Waffles are famous all over the world, particularly in Belgium which has the most variety of this dish. This dish is usually fresh but because of its high demand in the market, many commercial companies have a recipe that can last longer, they have frozen it and you can reheat it in your kitchen.


Muffins is a baked product which is baked individually portioned. It is a quick bread that is chemically leavened and baked in a mold. It is commonly cupcake shaped with a moist, coarse-grained texture. The sweetness range of this dish range from lightly sweetened to high sugar content that is richer than many cakes in fat and sugar. American muffins are often sweet, there are savory varieties with ingredients such as cheese, chocolate chips, chocolate bars, fruits, and raisins. Most of the toppings or additional ingredients like icing, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, and many more add a large amount of sweetness.

Cinnamon Rolls

A cinnamon roll (also known as a cinnamon bun, cinnamon swirl, cinnamon Danish, and cinnamon snail) is a sweet roll commonly served in Northern Europe and North America. In Sweden it is called kanelbulle, in Denmark, it is known as kanelsnegl, in Norway, it is known as kanelbolle, skillingsbolle, or kanelsnurr, in Finland, it is known as korvapuusti, in Iceland it is known as kanilsnúða, and in Estonia, it is known as kaneelirull. In Austria and Germany, it is called Zimtschnecke. A cinnamon roll consists of a rolled sheet of yeast-leavened dough onto which a cinnamon and sugar mixture (and raisins or other ingredients in some cases) is all over a thin coat of butter. The dough is then rolled, cut into individual portions, and baked. The deep-fried version is a cinnamon roll or cinnamon bun doughnut. Its main ingredients are flour, cinnamon, sugar, and butter, which provide a robust and sweet flavor.

Crepes With Blueberry Sauce

Fan of crepes? These crepes with blueberry sauce are superb!

To make the batter, add eggs, milk, flour, oil, sugar, and salt to a blender and pulse. To make the blueberry sauce, combine 2 cups of blueberries, sugar, water, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened.

Add crepe batter to a buttered pan and swirl to move the batter to the edges of the pan. Allow cooking then flip to cook the other side. Serve with blueberry sauce, roll up, and eat. Yummy!

Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups

If you’re a Nutella fan, then you have to shoot these easy and delectable Nutella French toast roll-ups.

Trim the crusts off and roll each slice of bread with a rolling pin until flattened. Spread Nutella on each slice, and roll them up. Whisk the milk, sugar, egg, and vanilla together.

In a separate bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip each Nutella French toast roll-up in the milk and egg mixture before frying them for about 2 minutes, turning them as needed until they are golden brown. Roll them through the cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve. Tasty!

Granola Bars

For a fast, grab-and-go breakfast, why not try granola bars?

Mix the oats, seeds, and nuts in a roasting tin, then put in the oven for 5-10 mins to toast. Line the base of a baking tray. Warm the butter, honey, and sugar in a pan, stirring until the butter melts.

Add the oat mix, cinnamon, and dried fruit, then mix until all the oats are well coated. Tip into the tin, then bake for 30 mins at 320°F. Cool in the tin, then cut it to grab and go.

S’mores French Toast

Treat yourself with these S’mores French toast which is a super indulgent breakfast recipe.

Combine the milk and egg. Spread the bread slices with Nutella. Place marshmallows on 2 of the pieces of bread. Take the bread with the marshmallows and dip the bottom side of the bread in an egg. Cook the bread.

Dip the remaining slices of bread in egg and place on top of the marshmallow-topped bread in the pan to form a sandwich. Cook until golden, then flip to cook the other side. Pamper yourself with this scrumptious recipe!
