coffee brands in 2018

If you’re always on the go and does not have time to make your own coffee or drop by some coffee shop, canned coffee or coffee in a can will be your best friend.

From now on, you will never miss a day without the caffeine boost you need to jump start your day.

Did you know that the first canned coffee is manufactured in Japan by the UCC Ueshima Coffee Co. in 1969. Now, everyone’s catching up to the trend, granted that we all live in a very fast-paced world with busy schedules.

Hence, why we compiled a list of the best canned coffee brands on the market.

Rise Brewing Co.

Rise Brewing Co. is the world’s first nitro coffee company. Their coffees are non-GMOs, organic, low in acid, and non-dairy.

Well, to perfectly describe their coffee it’s super light and frothy. And to me, it’s like the perfect hybrid of stout beer and iced coffee.

This canned coffee will also give you 1.5x more energy than any other coffee brands on the market. It’s also naturally sweet, no artificial flavorings, and it’s 70% less acidic than your usual can of coffee.

LaColombe

LaColombe Coffee Roasters is a Philadelphia-based company founded in 1994. They offer a wide range of coffee types and flavors which you can choose from. The company has its chain of coffee shops in New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, and Los Angeles.

I haven’t tried any of their product except their canned coffee which is popularly known as ‘Draft Latte.’ My personal favorite will be their Mocha and Chai-flavored Draft Lattes.

Heyday Cold Brew Coffee

Heyday Cold Brew Coffee is a company who produces a wide range of canned coffee types and flavors.

Heyday canned coffee only has 15 to 80 calories, and it also has 1 to 9 grams of sugar which is less than the average coffee in the can. Plus, it is organic and ethically sourced.

This is really the ultimate guilt-free coffee, and I have yet to try their products. I’m keen on trying their Caramel-flavored coffee, because who doesn’t want caramel and coffee?

High Brew Coffee

High Brew Coffee is an all-natural cold brew coffee based in Austin, Texas. They might not have a wide range of coffee flavors, but they have the essential flavors.

I’ve tried their Salted Caramel-flavored coffee and I must say that it’s really good. And, I am looking forward to trying Mexican Vanilla and their protein-packed Cappuccino.

Starbucks Co.

This list will not be complete without mentioning the ever famous Starbucks Co.’s coffee in the can. The company is one of the top leading and popular coffee chains in the world.

Their canned coffee variants are pretty easy to find, they’re basically everywhere! My favorite go-to drink will probably the Starbucks Doubleshot® Espresso Salted Caramel Cream and the Starbucks® Doubleshot Protein Dark Chocolate.

Espresso Monster

Monster does not only offer energy drinks these days. They expanded their to-go drinks and added triple-shot espresso into their line-up. Now that will wake your sense up and give you the extra buzz you needed for your hectic schedule.

Personally, I haven’t tried espresso monster or any of their energy drink, and honestly, I really don’t know if I will since it might be way too strong for my liking.

Cadence Cold Brew

Cadence is one of the brands which I am very keen on trying since I head wonderful reviews about it. Their coffee lineup is inspired by the Ethiopian and South American way of brewing coffee, which is very interesting and intriguing.

Cold Brew Coffee Co.

Cold Brew Coffee Co. is an organic coffee company which produces coffee products and merchandise. They were known for their organic canned coffee which is infused with nitrogen for the added boost.

Caveman Coffee Co.

Caveman Coffee Co. produces the one of the most popular Nitrogen infused coffee in the market. The company is known for their straightforward and bold image and their coffee has one of the largest coffee serving in canned coffee history with a whopping 22 oz. per can!

Loco Coffee

Loco Coffee is one of my most favorite coffee brands ever, even if they only offer a limited range of flavors. Loco Coffee is a cold brew coffee with coconut water. Personally, I love drinking coconut water.

This coffee does not have artificial flavorings, added sugar, preservatives, and most importantly it contains caffeine thanks to the coffee beans and electrolytes thanks to coconut water. Each can also contain 578 grams of potassium and 275 grams of caffeine which means that there will be no coffee jitters.

If you are a busy, always-on-the-go type of person then, having to-go coffee in your fridge is an absolute must. You do not have to wait in line with random coffee shops, and you do not have to wait and make your own coffee.

There are tons of flavors and types to choose from, and it always down to your preference. Do you find this article helpful? Comment down below your favorite canned coffee brand and flavor/s.

Kansas City Missouri cheap eats

Another city down and another city explored. Kansas City Missouri will always hold a special place in my heart. Although my girlfriend moved here for a new job, it was a city that we initially explored on our own. Back in February of 2018, she got offered an incredible job in the fashion industry. A job she longed for and deserved for years. She had to pack ALL of her things and make the 1125 mile hike in the middle of the country.

What I found fascinating along the way was not only our bonding time together, but the places we went to for food. Fast forward to present day and I’m proud to consider Kansas City Missouri a second home. Here are all of the adventures and places we’ve gone to that are all within the price range of under $15 for one person.

DISCLAIMER* This blog will continue to be updated as I collect research and essentially eat there on your behalf.

10 Must-Try Sparkling Water Brands In 2018

sparkling water

In case you didn’t know, sparkling water does not have any form of diamond nor glitter. Rather it’s water infused with carbon dioxide, artificially and naturally. Which gives it a sudden fizz or flavor in some cases.

In most cases, companies artificially infuse carbon dioxide in water and then they add natural or artificial flavors for an added kick.

Sparkling water is also the best soda alternative because it has lower sugar levels, aids indigestion/dyspepsia, rich in health-promoting minerals, and calms motion sickness. It is also safer to drink than tap water.

Which is why sparkling water’s popularity increased in the recent years. And, there are tons of sparkling brands to choose from. Without further ado here are the best sparkling water brands of 2018:

San Pellegrino

“She might be Filipino, be sippin’ Pellegrino” a rap lyric from Nicki Minaj’s song Girls Fall Like Dominoes. Pellegrino owns its right to be one of the top sparkling water brands. It has gotten so huge that it has been mentioned in various song lyrics.

San Pellegrino is an Italian sparkling water brand which is crafted in Bergamo, Italy. Since 1990, the company has been owned by Nestle.

I highly recommend that you try the Blood Orange flavor. But, nothing beats the original flavor for its simple, crisp, and refreshing taste.

Perrier

Perrier is one of the oldest and popular sparkling water brands. Thanks to its teardrop-shaped dark mosque green glass bottle which distinguishes the brand from its competitors.

Did you know that a Perrier bottle contains fifty million bubbles – now that’s a lot of bubbles!

Perrier sparkling water is exclusively sourced in France and it is sugar-free, caffeine-free, and it’s readily accessible in a lot of restaurants all over the world.

La Croix Sparkling Water

Regardless of its French brand name; La Croix meaning “the cross” is the most popular American sparkling water brand. Thanks to its colorful packaging and a wide range of fun flavors to try and choose from. Personally, I love Cerise Limon and Passionfruit flavors.

Voss Sparkling

Voss does not only offer high-quality artisanal mineral water, recently they launched their array of sparkling water which is sourced a natural aquafier in Norway.

It’s also packaged with Voss signature Scandinavian designed bottle. Plus, this sparkling water does not contain calories, sugar, and artificial flavoring or sweeteners. Which is awesome!

They offer a variety of flavors but my favorite flavor will definitely be the Tangerine Lemongrass and Lime Mint Flavored ones.

Sparkling Ice

Sparkling Ice is an American sparkling water brand which was launched in 1992. They are known for infusing green tea into their sparkling water for an added caffeine boost and produce fun and unique flavors which you can choose from.

This sparkling water is loaded with vitamins and nutrients thanks to natural fruit and green tea extracts, but they are also free from calories, sugar, and artificial flavoring.

Personally, I am in love with their Peach Nectarine, Ginger Lime, and Grape Raspberry sparkling water.

Spindrift

Spindrift is a Boston-based company which was found in 2010. This brand showcases a new flair and flavor on their sparkling water. And, the awesome thing is that they do not use artificial fruit flavors instead they really use natural fruit extracts.

This is a win-win situation because you do not only have the benefits of drinking sparkling water but you will also enjoy the added vitamins and nutrients from the fruit extract. My personal favorite will probably their Raspberry Lime and Cucumber flavored sparkling water.

Fun Fact: The word spindrift means the sudden mist from an ocean when the wind blows.

Waterloo

Waterloo Sparkling Water is an Austin-based fizzy water company which is a direct competitor of La Croix.

They are also known for their colorful cans and a wide variety of sparkling water flavors to choose from. The company prides themselves on producing flavored sparkling water which has true-to-fruit flavors without sugar, calories, and sodium.

And I recommend that you try their Black Cherry and Watermelon flavored sparkling water.

Bubl

Bubly sparkling water is owned by Pepsi Co. This brand is known for their trendy and colorful packaging.

“No calories. No sweeteners. All smiles.” is the brand’s tagline. And honestly, it’s quite true. I mean have you seen their can’s tab? It has its own greeting and its signature smile on the can.

I love their Cherry, Strawberry, and Grapefruit flavored sparkling water.

Polar

Polar seltzer was founded in 1882 by Dennis Crowley. The company is based in Massachusetts and it is still owned and ran by the Crowley family.

This seltzer has three main ingredients which are water, zillions of sparkling bubbles, and fruit flavoring. The company claims that nothing much has changed on crafting their famous seltzer, except for the additional flavors and high-tech machinery.

Personally, I love their Vanilla, Orange Vanilla, and Triple Berry flavored seltzer and you must also try it!

Topo Chico

Topo Chico is a Mexican sparkling water company founded in Monterrey, Mexico in 1895. It’s sourced from Monterrey Valley. In 2017, the company was acquired by Coke. And, it is very reminiscent of the vintage colorful can of Mexican Coca-Cola

I haven’t tried this brand but I’ve heard good things about it. Unfortunately, they are only available in Mexico and the United States.

There are tons of beverages which you can choose from, but we must be mindful of how it affects our body. Water is one of our basic needs, but it’s rather bland and boring for other people.

Instead of drinking soda, which is high in sugar, let’s try and replace it with sparkling water. It’s safer, healthier, and it tastes so good.
